Media Poetry, with its heuristic theory-in-construction, above all encourages one to explore the multifarious works--whether "nomadic" poems, "holopoems," or interactive cybertext--for oneself. One of the benefits of this wide-ranging collection is to reunify the creative tasks of poetics with what philosopher Alberto Moreiras called the "task of thinking that would refuse to believe itself above and beyond technique". These are extraordinary demands and practices that have enormous implications far beyond the future of hypermedia richly suggested by the range of contributions here.
